Care That Shows Up Every Day
Expanded Mental Health Services of Chicago (EMHS) provides mental health care on Chicago’s Northwest Side. We serve neighbors in Logan Square, Avondale, Hermosa, and North River through The Kedzie Center and LoSAH Center of Hope.
Our care is community-responsive. We build programs around what residents tell us they need.
Our care is culturally informed. Our clinicians understand the languages, histories, and lived experiences of the people we serve.
Our care is accessible. We work to remove the barriers that keep people from getting help, including cost, scheduling, and stigma.
Our care is high-quality. Our work is grounded in clinical standards and delivered by trained professionals.
Our programs include:
- Individual therapy
- Support and therapeutic groups
- Workshops
- Community programming
- Early childhood services
These services work together. Someone may begin with a community event, join a group, and later start therapy. A family may enter through early childhood programming and connect with other supports. People come in at different points, and we meet them there.
Everyday giving funds this work year-round. Grants and events are not enough to cover the daily cost of staffing and running programs. Monthly gifts give us steady, predictable support.
